‘Homeland’: Showtime Unveils Featurette & Poster For Season 6

Carrie Mathison doesn’t look all that bugged in the new poster for Season 6 of Showtime’s Homeland, but don’t let that fool you. Just because she’s back on American soil doesn’t mean all is well: She’s dealing with the aftermath of a presidential election, and the entire season will take place between Election Day and the inauguration. Along with the new key art, the premium cable net also release a behind-the-scenes featurette for the new season of its Emmy-winning signature drama. Check that out above and the poster below.

After thwarting a major terrorist attack in Berlin — barely — Mathison (Claire Danes) is back in the USA, where Season 6 picks up several months later. It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect (Elizabeth Marvel). Living in Brooklyn, Mathison has begun working at a foundation whose efforts are to provide aid to Muslims living in the U.S. Series regulars Mandy Patinkin, Rupert Friend and F. Murray Abraham return alongside guest stars Hill Harper, Robert Knepper, Patrick Sabongui and Dominic Fumusa.

Produced by Fox 21, Homeland returns at 9 PM January 15. The series already has been renewed for Seasons 7 and 8. Note the sneaky use of “Home” in the poster:
