Home Alone” is back, ya filthy animals.

The rebooted “Home Sweet Home Alone,” featuring young “Jojo Rabbit” breakout star Archie Yates, is coming exclusively to Disney Plus on November 12, just in time for the holiday season.

More from Variety

Yates will star as Max Mercer, a mischievous and resourceful young boy who has been left behind while his family is in Japan for the holidays. So when a married couple attempting to retrieve a priceless heirloom sets their sights on the Mercer family’s home, it is up to Max to protect it from the trespassers, and he will do whatever it takes to keep them out. The reboot promises hilarious hijinks of epic proportions, and despite the absolute chaos, Max eventually comes to realize that there really is no place like home sweet home.

The cast includes Ellie Kemper (“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), Rob Delaney (“Deadpool 2”), Aisling Bea (“Living with Yourself”), Kenan Thompson (“Saturday Night Live”), Tim Simons (“Veep”), Pete Holmes (“The Secret Life of Pets 2”), Devin Ratray (“Home Alone”), Ally Maki (“Toy Story 4”), Chris Parnell (“Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues”).

Dan Mazer (“Dirty Grandpa”) will direct the new film. The screenplay is by Mikey Day and Streeter Seidell, both of “Saturday Night Live.” They created the story with John Hughes, who wrote the original “Home Alone” and two of its sequels, based on a screenplay by Hughes. Hutch Parker (“X-Men: Dark Phoenix”) and Dan Wilson (“Patriots Day”) serve as producers, with Jeremiah Samuels (“Stuber”) as executive producer.

The original “Home Alone” debuted in 1990, turning Macaulay Culkin into a child star and spawning three sequels and a made-for-TV movie.
