Holy moly, stromboli! Memphis craft brewery WISEACRE and Little Bettie Pizza & Snack Bar are going to be on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” in January.
"It's a great opportunity for Little Bettie to grow and share the best pizza in Memphis with more new people," Little Bettie chef Jared Riddle said. "Guy Fieri and his crew were a blast to work with. It was an experience I'll never forget."
The pizza stand inside WISEACRE Brewing Co.’s Downtown taproom (398 S. B.B. King Blvd.) will appear on the show at 8 p.m. CST Jan. 12.
The description for the episode titled “Hearty Handfuls” reads: “This trip, Guy Fieri's digging into hearty handfuls of major flavor. First up, a funky joint in Memphis, Tenn., is taking pizza and wings to the next level. Then, in Calgary, Alberta, an authentic Mexican spot is dishing out legit chicharron and tasty tacos, and in St. Simons Island, Ga., it's a taste of Argentina with elevated empanadas and the bomb beef short ribs.”
This will be the third Memphis restaurant to be featured after Guy Fieri visited several restaurants in town in September.
Pizza, snacks and craft beers
Little Bettie is located inside the taproom at WISEACRE’s Downtown brewery. The pizza stand serves a small (and fun) menu of pizzas and snacks that complement WISEACRE’s beers.
The pizza at Little Bettie’s is New Haven-style pizza. New Haven-style pizza has a chewy crust like its wood-fired Neapolitan pizza counterpart, but is a thinner-crusted pizza. This thin-crust pizza originated in New Haven, Connecticut — hence the name.

The pizza Fieri chose to feature is the “Thud Butt.” This one-of-a-kind pizza is topped with mortadella, ricotta cream, black pepper honey, pistachios and stracciatella cheese.
“We also haven't put a porchetta that you won't forgetta on a pizza ... but the Thud Butt is pretty close and maybe that's why the Mayor of Flavortown chose to feature it,” reads WISEACRE’s social media post about the dish.
Memphis chefs Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman consulted on the creation of the dining concept, which is run today by the WISEACRE crew, led by Chef Jared Riddle and Sous Chef Andrew Dacus.
Featured on the show will be Riddle and WISEACRE founders Davin Bartosch and Kellan Bartosch.
How to watch 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives'
“Hearty Handfuls” (Season 38, Episode 12) will premiere on Food Network at 8 p.m. CST Friday, Jan. 12.
The episode will re-air at 11 p.m. Jan. 13, 10 p.m. Jan. 20 and 1 a.m. Jan. 21.
