The Festival of Colors is here!

March 18 marks Holi, the annual festival that celebrates the beginning of spring and the triumph of good over evil.

Observed predominantly in South Asia, Holi is recognized as the country's most vivid and joyous festival, celebrated annually around the end of February or early March in correspondence with the Hindu calendar's month of Phalguna. Typically spanning two days, the eve of the Hindu holiday is when traditions commence, but the actual day of Holi is the most anticipated due to the fun that ensues.

And this year celebrities were more than happy to partake in the fun, with several posting joyous photos and reels of their family festivities.

Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra

The couple celebrated Holi with their own backyard Festival of Colors, of which Jonas, 29, shared a video, showing them hurling colored powder at their friends, including actor Jonathan Tucker. He also enjoyed some Jowar Dhani Chivda, a sorghum popcorn dish customary during Holi.

"Holi was lit," the Jonas Brother wrote with the clip, which included a glimpse of himself and Chopra, 39, sharing a kiss while covered in colors.

Chopra also celebrated the holiday with a video tribute on her Instagram Story. "Holi, the festival of colors, celebrates the arrival of spring, the blossoming of love and the triumph of good over evil," the video read.

"It's a theme that transcends geographical boundaries, and is especially relevant in the times we're living in," it continued. "Happy Holi everyone. Here's wishing for more colorful and brighter days for us all."
