Hoda Kotb is happy for Kelly Rowland to come back to Today any day.

Kotb, 59, extended an invitation to the singer, 43, on Today with Hoda & Jenna on Tuesday as she and Jenna Bush Hager both agreed that Rowland is “welcome any time” at the show.

“I just wanna say this, I have great love and admiration for Kelly Rowland. I adore her. And I want her to come back on our show, and I want her to host again,” said Kotb just four days after Rowland walked off the show’s set last week.

Kotb added, “She can share my dressing room — we’ll be in it together!”

Bush Hager, 42, then recalled that the first time Rowland was a guest on their show, both she and Kotb wanted her to host with them — which she was slated to do on Thursday. “Remember the first time she was a guest and we both said, “Can she please host?’”

Kotb also thanked Rowland's impromptu substitute host, saying, “On another note too, we just want to give a shoutout to Rita Ora, who kind of came in at the last second and really did a phenomenal job.”

Bush Hager then joked that she and her co-host will continue “sticking down the fort,” as she quipped, “I won’t take a day off until 2026.”

“I was gonna say, you’re not allowed,” Kotb joked. "That’s the last day off for months and months and months.”

A source told PEOPLE on Friday that a behind-the-scenes mishap led to Rowland’s sudden departure from the morning show, where she was slated not only to host with Kotb but also to appear during the show’s 8 a.m. hour.

"Kelly walked out because she and her team didn't like her dressing room," the source shared. "Rita Ora agreed to fill in at the last minute. Many people at the show, inside and outside of the show, were impressed with how great she was."

The Destiny’s Child alum reportedly requested a green room upstairs, but it was already being occupied by Jennifer Lopez, who was there to promote her new album This Is Me… Now and its accompanying Prime Video film, per Page Six. Rowland was unhappy with the dressing room that was being offered so she opted to depart the set last minute.

During Ora’s time on air, she shared some news of her own as she debuted a dramatic chop that her hairstylist had done just hours before.

The Masked Singer judge, 33, spontaneously cut off several inches of her chest-length strands before co-hosting with Kotb, as she revealed, “By the way, can I just talk about this? I cut my hair off at 7 o'clock this morning. Now I’m here hosting the show with you. What is my morning by the way?!”

She joked that “jet lag” was to blame for the sudden decision, which she called a “fresh start.”
