Hoda Kotb Introduces Special Member of the Family to Fans

Hoda Kotb shook things up when she took to Instagram on Tuesday, April 9, to introduce a special member of her family to her followers.
"This is my Eddie!" she wrote excitedly, sharing a selfie-style photo of the two smiling widely on a darkened New York City street.
Many fans thought this was a face reveal of a new beau after Kotb teased a major relationship update during a recent interview with Kelly Clarkson, with several complimenting the pair's matching smiles in the comments as they expressed their happiness for the anchor.
"Hoda!!?? You have an Eddie??" one wrote in response. "You Two have the GREATEST smiles!! 🥰."
"Hoda, I'm very happy for you," said another. "Best of luck with your future."
But rather than a love interest, Eddie seems to be Kotb's "own personal hype man"—otherwise known as her driver.
Earlier that day, she'd shared a glimpse at the start of their morning together, where Eddie surprised her with an energetic dance party on the way to work, club lights, bumping bass beats and all.
Kotb entered the car to find flashing lights illuminating the roof of the car as Beyonce's "YA YA" blared from the radio, which the television host said "made [her] day."
As Eddie grooved in the front seat Kotb cheered him on from the back, encouraging, "Come on, go Eddie!" from behind the camera.
Her followers were impressed with his energy levels, wondering where it all came from "so early in the morning."
"It looks like Eddie loves life and his job!" someone else observed, while another suggested that commuting in New York City would be much more enjoyable if there was an "Eddie running the trains in the morning!"
"How you start your day makes such an impact ✨✨✨," another said, and clearly, Kotb is starting her days off right.
