Hockey player Adam Johnson’s partner is mourning his loss.

On Thursday, Ryan Wolfe shared a carousel post of special moments she shared with Johnson. The ice hockey player died at the age of 29 on Oct. 28. He was struck by a skate during a game in England between his team the Nottingham Panthers and the Sheffield Steelers.

“Thankful for our memories and life together,” Wolfe wrote on Thanksgiving under the snap of her kissing the cheek of her late partner. “Wish we could’ve had more babe. Missing you so much every single day, love you Adam 🤍.”

Johnson’s former teammates, including NHL star Sidney Crosby, also offered tributes in honor of the athlete.

“It’s really sad,” Crosby told The Athletic. “He was a really nice guy who worked hard and had a great attitude. He was doing what he loved playing hockey. I am glad we got to share time with him as he lived his dream playing in the NHL.”

“Honestly, I’m at a loss for words,” former teammate and fellow Minnesotan Jake Guentzel told the outlet.

Meanwhile, when the Panthers confirmed Johnson's death in October, the team said it was "truly devastated" by the loss.

"The Panthers would like to send our thoughts to Adam's family, his partner and all his friends at this extremely difficult time," the organization said. "Everyone at the club including players, staff, management and ownership are heartbroken at the news of Adam's passing. Our thoughts are also with the fans and staff of both clubs, especially those who attended or were following the game, who will be devastated following today's news."

Johnson, a Minnesota native, was an “outstanding ice hockey player" and an "incredible person with his whole life ahead of him," the statement said. The statement concluded: "Rest in Peace Adam."

Earlier this month, a man was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter. The South Yorkshire Police Department confirmed to BBC that Johnson had died of a fatal neck injury and had arrested a man, who remained in custody.
