Oct. 6—Music has long been a soundtrack to the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

There is music and entertainment along Main Street inside Balloon Fiesta Park — with the national anthem performed each morning.

In 2013, Fiesta officials branched out and created Music Fiesta. The series was created in addition to the music featured on Main Street, and several nationally known acts over the years perform as part of the series.

In 2013, Darius Rucker, Charlie Worsham and Derryl Perry were the first to kick off the music series.

In 2022, after a two-year hiatus, Music Fiesta returned with Cole Swindell, Lainey Wilson and Restless Road performing.

This year is being headlined by Lee Brice, with Runaway June and Brandon Saiz opening.

This year's performers along Main Street will include: Enchanted Mesa Show Chorus, USAF Academy Band, Cellicion Traditional Zuni Dance Group, Black Pearl Band NM, The Panhandlers, Austin Van, Leah Black, Suzan Tipton, The New MexiChords, Erin Michelle, Derryl Perry, Erin Michelle, Mountain Top Rock, Albuquerque Girl Choir, Sim Balkey and His Honky Tonk Crew, Kallestewa Dance Group, 44th Army Band and Nathaniel Krantz.

The strolling performers will perform from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. through Main Street on days with double sessions. The performers are Mariachi Tenampa, Mariachi Amigos de Nuevo México and Baila! Baila! Dance Academy.
