A History Of Jennifer Aniston's High Profile Relationships

Jennifer Aniston is our favorite "friend," a girl's girl, the girl next door, and one of the most beautiful women in the world. So, it's no wonder that men flock to her and she has had a string of high profile relationships throughout her life.

Of course, we all remember Brad Pitt and that infamous cheating scandal, but she's also been with other famous actors, musicians, and a whole lot of just plain hunky men. It must be all that yoga she practices? Or is it the Smart Water?

Brad Pitt

Of course, we have to start with the most obvious, Brad Pitt. The two met way back in 1998 and quickly became our favorite couple of the early 2000s. They married two years later in an extravagant wedding in Malibu, and from then on became everyone's barometer for love.

However, they caused us to turn our backs on the whole love thing when Brad met Angelina Jolie on the set of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith." Everyone was forced to choose sides, and this cheating scandal will forever go down in Hollywood gossip infamy.

John Mayer

Aniston dated musician John Mayer for about a year in 2008 and 2009, though nobody thought it would end well. Mayer is not exactly known for his super committed ways, and it's not surprising these two didn't last.

The worst part? Mayer made some pretty icky comments about the breakup with Aniston in an interview with Playboy, implying she was too old. He said, "I’ll always be sorry that it didn’t last. In some ways I wish I could be with her. But I can’t change the fact that I need to be 32."

He continued, "If Jennifer Aniston knows how to use BitTorrent, I’ll eat my fucking shoe. ‘One of the most significant differences between us was that I was tweeting. There was a rumor that I had been dumped because I was tweeting too much. That wasn’t it, but that was a big difference."

Maybe he should insert said shoe into his mouth and shut it.

Josh Hopkins

Back in 2010, Aniston met Cougar Town actor Josh Hopkins through Courteney Cox who also stars with him on the show. The two casually dated for a while, however, it seems he was not as interested in taking things to the next level as Jennifer was.

A source told Us Weekly that Jennifer was interested in something serious and "wanted a relationship. And he was like, 'No, thank you."

The source continued, saying Josh is "a player and is into meeting younger girls. He definitely lies to girls."

Well, it seems Jennifer dodged a bullet on that one!

Justin Theroux

Things didn't seem to work out for Jennifer in her second marriage either, and she split from her husband Justin Theroux in February 2018.

It seems they ended quite amicably (compared to her last marriage), with the two remaining friends. In August 2018, Jen spoke about the breakup to InStyle, saying, “The misconceptions are ‘Jen can’t keep a man,’ and ‘Jen refuses to have a baby because she’s selfish and committed to her career.' Or that I’m sad and heartbroken. First, with all due respect, I’m not heartbroken. And second, those are reckless assumptions. No one knows what’s going on behind closed doors. No one considers how sensitive that might be for my partner and me. They don’t know what I’ve been through medically or emotionally.”

You tell 'em, Jen! As for who she will date next? Who knows? But she seems quite happy on her own at the moment.
