The Psychology of Weight Loss

DOVER — On Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Dover Public Library's Lecture Hall, join Rebecca Schubert, MS RDN NBC-HWC and owner of One Step Nutrition Coaching as she takes us on a journey towards sustainable weight loss with her enlightening talk, "Navigating Sustainable Weight Loss: Technical and Adaptive Changes for Success." In this insightful presentation, Rebecca will unravel the intricate blend of technical know-how and adaptive strategies essential for achieving and maintaining your ideal weight.

Meditation Class

DOVER — On Thursday, Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Dover Public Library, try this free meditation series to learn how to be more relaxed and mindful. The Lift Method, created by Dover resident, Thomas McGreavey, is an enhancement to traditional mindfulness meditation that can soothe anxiety and ease the flight/fight/freeze response on the spot. This class is being offered over six sessions. Come to as many as you'd like.

Family Place Workshop

DOVER — On Friday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. spend time together, play, make friends and talk one-on-one with specialists on child development during this enjoyable five-week workshop series at the Dover Public Library. For caregivers and children one to four years old. Register once for the entire five week series.

Fun Friday

DOVER — On Friday, Jan. 19 at 3 p.m. tweens and teens in grades 5-12 are welcome to join the Dover Public Library afterschool on Fridays for hot chocolate, snacks, and gaming.

Winter Scene Paint Along

DOVER — On Saturday, Jan. 20 at 10:30 a.m., come paint a winter scene at the Dover Public Library. All materials will be provided. We will follow a video demonstrating the requisite technique, and all skill levels are welcome. This program is for adults only, and registration is required. Teen Tech Tutoring

DOVER — Do you need help with basic computer or technology skills? Visit the Dover Public Library on Saturday, Jan. 20 from 2 to 3 p.m. or Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. for help from teen volunteers who will be available to assist on a first come, first served basis. We will have library computers available for use or bring your own device (laptop, phone, tablet, etc.). Winter STEM Event

DOVER — On Saturday, Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. join the Dover Public Library for a fun Winter STEM, dripping with Snow and Ice! We'll explore the wet side of Winter during this afternoon science program. Children aged 3-plus and their caregivers, will best enjoy this event.

Clothing Library

DOVER — On Sunday, Jan. 21 from 1 to 5 p.m. the Clothing Library provides clothing to borrow for free, just like a traditional library, but instead of books you can check out fashion! Partnering with the Dover Public Library as their pilot, the Clothing Library serves the communities unique needs and aims to address the negative ecological and social Impacts of overproduction of the fashion Industry by keeping existing clothing circulation longer.
