Historical society announces 2024 student art show winners

Feb. 15—The Dickinson County Historical Society announced the winners for their art show. Out of the 350 to 400 of pieces of art shown at the Dickinson County Heritage Center, the society chose first, second and third place for high school, middle school and elementary school students. Each of the winners received a cash prize.

High School

First place: Raquel Lawrenz of Herington High School

Second Place: Brooklyn Dooley of Solomon High School

Third Place: Caylee Cook of Solomon High School

Middle School

First place: Jasimine Ottensmier of Abilene Middle School

Second Place: Misty Cartwright of Chapman Middle School

Third Place: Kyla Seematter of Abilene Middle School

Elementary School

First place: Abraham Amos of McKinley Elementary

Second Place (tied): Liana Ortiz of Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary and Kipton Rodison of Dwight D. Eisenhower Elementary
