"Everybody's workin' for the weekend ... ''
Oops, didn't realize anyone was listening. But yeah, it's here!
It may feel a whole lot more like fall today than our weeklong return to summer. If you haven't brought your plants inside, it may be time.
If you are seeking Halloween intel, we have loaded up our holiday guide with so much fun, you'll think we're handing out the full-sized candy bars. (Speaking of candy, check out what Halloween candy Delaware loves best!)
More in the mood for sports? Phillies play the Braves in the NLDS on Saturday and Monday. As for the Eagles, they take on the Rams on Sunday at 4:05 p.m.
Here are some non-sports, non-holiday things to do:
New hip-hop celebration attracts pioneers
The yearlong celebration of hip-hop's 50th anniversary isn't slowing down — at least not in Delaware.
Pioneers and legends in the culture from the 1980s to 1997, including local Jay-Z engineer Young Guru, are uniting the community in the new and free Hip-Hop Cultural Summit at Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington this weekend.
Other special guests for the summit include hip-hop legends MC Sha-Rock, Grandmaster Caz, Grandwizzard Theodore and more. The event offers panel discussions, demonstrations, art exhibits and other cool things.
The full itinerary for this hip-hop celebration is available at allhiphop.com/50th-anniversary-of-hip-hop.
The inaugural hip-hop summit is presented by AllHipHop.com, Guerrilla Republik and the Delaware Art Museum.
Delaware Art Museum (2301 Kentmere Parkway, Wilmington) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Free event. Visit delart.org or (302) 571-9590.

Get your giggle on at comedy show
Fans of clean comedy might appreciate Let 'Em Cook's next show featuring Erik Terrell, a man who tickles people in order to support his fantasy football addiction.
The comedian has gigged at a number of big comedy clubs including Gotham, Caroline's and the Laugh Factory. Saturday's event, hosted by Jay Yoder, also features Rep. Madinah Wilson-Anton of Newark, a former Let 'Em Cook competition winner.
Theatre N. (1007 Orange St., Wilmington) at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Tickets are $18. Visit theatren.com or (302) 600-1923.
Beaches rock right through October
