Hillary Clinton’s Concession Speech – Watch Live

Hillary Clinton is set to give a concession speech this morning in New York after losing the 2016 Presidential election to Donald Trump. The grueling months-long election season came to a shocking end last night when Clinton, favored in most polls going into the day Tuesday, lost key battleground states including North Carolina, Ohio and Florida — and later Pennsylvania — that gave the GOP candidate a pathway to victory. That came late last night when Clinton called Trump to concede.

Most media outlets are reporting Trump has eclipsed the 270 threshold in the Electoral College. Clinton is currently winning the popular vote as late results continue to trickle in, but Republicans have kept majorities in both the House and Senate along with Trump’s win.

This morning, President Barack Obama reached out to both Trump and Clinton. The President, who campaigned hard for Clinton, will make a formal statement later today at the White House. At that time, says the office of the White House Press Secretary, he will discuss the election results “and what steps we can take as a country to come together after this hard-fought election season.”
