Audiences are loving "The Hill," and recently, that love has earned a trophy for the baseball bio-pic filmed in Augusta.

The 26th annual Family Film and TV Awards recently aired on CBS, during which "The Hill" won "Best Family Feature Film." The independent film beat out some major studio productions including "Barbie," "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3," "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny," and "Shazam! Fury of the Gods."

The award was accepted by Colin Ford, who played the lead Rickey Hill, and country artist Randy Houser, who played one of Hill's strongest supporters, Ray Clemons.

"I'm shocked and honored to be standing here," Ford said from the stage. "I want to give a special shout out to the cast and crew ... and the man who the film was based on, Rickey Hill, who shows us through faith and determination that your dreams are possible."

"The Hill" also continues to have success on Netflix after its release on the streaming giant earlier this month. For two weeks it has held a spot on the Top 10 movies list, and while Netflix's data is inconsistent as to its exact ranking, Tudum reports that it has been streamed 6.3 million times this week.

Those who want to watch the full Family Film and TV Awards ceremony can do so on Paramount+.
