Hilary Duff has made keeping her private life private her top priority lately. So much so that no one knew about her wedding until the day of. According to HollywoodLife, Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma tied the knot in an intimate backyard wedding surrounded by friends, family and no paparazzi.
The wedding took place on Saturday December 21st in the backyard of the couple's Los Angeles home. The wedding took place on Winter Solstice and the couple seemingly embraced the theme.

Hilary's stylist, Jessica Paster, shared a picture of a bouquet of red and white flowers on her Instagram page and captioned it, “Winter solstice … a day of luv ❤️🌺☃️🦋.” Friends and fans showed their love on the post, commenting with plenty of heart emojis.
Wedding guests seemed to enjoy the intimate wedding setting as well as the happy couple.
“It was a love-fest – a small and intimate ceremony at her house with friends and family,” a source shared to Just Jared.
Hilary Duff and Matthew Koma's wedding comes just one day after Hilary Duff took to Instagram to vent about paparazzi. She recorded three paparazzi following her and her two children around.
“Here I am just trying to get around with both my kids, and I have paparazzi following me everywhere I go. Two grown men. Three of them, actually, one of them is running away across the street. Just following me and my kids to every location I go to,” Duff complained on her story.
“In a world where women are getting all these rights, this doesn’t seem right to me. At all. All day long,” Duff continued.
After this clearly upsetting incident along with other paparazzi disputes in the past, it's no wonder that Duff wanted to keep this special day out of the public eye.
Hilary Duff is most known for her playing Lizzie McGuire on the self-titled show. She'll be reprising the role for Disney+'s reboot. She also has been starring in 'Younger.'
Hilary Duff was previously married to Mike Comrie. The two had a son together named Luca who is 7 years old now. Duff got with Koma just a year after she split up with Comrie. Duff and Koma met while Duff was recording her pop album "Breathe In. Breathe Out." The two were first spotted together at the 2017 SAG Awards. Not too long after that, the two had a child together. Duff gave birth to Banks Violet Blair on October 29th, 2018.
