Hilary Duff is soaking up all the snuggles with her newborn baby girl Townes Meadow — and we don’t blame her a bit! The Lizzie McGuire alum shared a heartwarming new photo with her daughter, and she looks like a sleepy little mermaid baby!

“Townsie gahhh,” Duff captioned a post on her Instagram story on Tuesday. (PEOPLE has a screenshot HERE.) In the selfie, Duff is wearing a cream sweater set as she relaxes on the couch. Her baby girl is cuddling on her chest, snoozing while resting her sweet head on her arm. Townes’s dark brown looks super long in this picture, and she looks so soft and squishy.
Speaking of soft — Townes is wearing cozy, mermaid-print pajamas! The teal PJs have lilac cuffs and pictures of colorful mermaids swimming in the sea. How precious is that?

The How I Met Your Father Star welcomed baby Townes on May 3. She announced the birth of her fourth child on Instagram, including several intimate snaps of her waterbirth. “Townes Meadow Bair 🧸 , now we know why she made us wait so long … She was perfecting those cheeks!” Duff wrote. “I Have been dreaming of holding you in my arms for months and the past 5 days of getting to know you, stare at you and smell you has been pure moments of magic.”
“We all love you like you’ve been here all along beauty,” she added.

Duff shares Townes and daughters Banks, 5, and Mae, 3, with husband Matthew Koma. She is also mom to 12-year-old son Luca with ex Mike Comrie. Last month, she shared several bump photos with her husband, gushing about his support.
“Four kids is a truly wild choice,” the Younger star wrote on Instagram. “And while you rage the farmers market with the kids after 4 nights of shows and late nights so I can get some sleep and not hear mom mom mama mommy mooooom just know this only works because of you ♥️. Also on a separate note …. Why can I sleep during the day this late in pregnancy and not at night 😣😵💫”
At least now she’s getting some much-needed rest — with the cutest baby in her arms!
