Jimmie Allen isn't letting the storm of sexual assault allegations dampen his spirit.

In fact, he plans to tackle an entirely new corner of the entertainment industry by launching a comedy tour this fall titled "I Said What I Said."

The announcement came via the Delaware country superstar's Instagram on Thursday, as Allen promoted the three night, invite-only comedy tour set to kick off in October.

The Instagram post's photo says dates are coming soon, and there's no mention of where the performances will be.

Allen simply wrote in the post: "'I Said What I Said' and I’m gonna say it again during my 3-night comedy tour coming this October! ALL shows are invite only, so be sure signup with your e-mail via link in bio to receive the latest news & how to win tix."

There were mixed reactions to the "Down Home" singer's comedy tour in the comments section:

"Now is this post a joke? I’m honestly asking," one person wrote.

"I said after one of your concerts in dewey I was like Jimmie is funny as hell if he ever gets tired of music he could do comedy," a fan said.

"He was funny at the concert we went to, told a lot of jokes," another fan added.

"Very very very strange," a perplexed commenter said.

"Lol you going through a midlife crisis or something?" a person jabbed.

Allen is 'hilarious' with jokes, college friend says

Last year in an interview with Newark native and rapper Kyle "Kae Hock" Hockaday — who befriended Allen when they both attended Delaware State University in the mid-2000s — he told Delaware Online/The News Journal that the country star was a funny guy.

Hock said Allen loved to roast people at DSU.

“Jimmie is hilarious. He has a great sense of humor. He spoke very freely and he would say whatever was on his mind. He probably would stop just short of being offensive,” Hock recalled.

The reveal of Allen's comedy tour comes after two women filed lawsuits against him in May and June, respectively, for sexual assault. The second lawsuit resulted in him getting dropped from his record label BRB Music Group.

Earlier this month the Milton native filed countersuits in Tennessee against the women making the charges, according to USA TODAY, Billboard and People.

Allen filed the counterclaims to "protect my reputation and refute these claims that have caused severe damage to my family, mental health and business," he told People in a statement.

Additionally, Allen recently told People he and his wife are trying to repair their relationship after he announced in April they were splitting up.

The couple was spotted together with their children at Paradise Grill in Long Neck earlier this month.

Attorney Elizabeth Fegan, who is representing both accusers and previously brought sex trafficking claims against Harvey Weinstein, told USA TODAY in a statement Friday that her team reviewed the filings by Allen's legal team and they were "what we'd expect — claims that all his encounters with Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2 were consensual."

Allen has upcoming Delaware events

The country star is participating in the 19th annual Duffy's Hope Celebrity Game at the Chase Fieldhouse, a charity event in Wilmington on Saturday, Aug. 5.

Other celebrities playing in the game include Kash Doll (Arkeisha Knight) and Demetrius "Lil Meech" Flenory Jr., both from the popular Starz crime drama "BMF."

Rapper and actor Young Dylan (Dylan Gilmer), star of "Tyler Perry's Young Dylan" on Nickelodeon, also is tapped for the game.

The fundraiser is intended to support free programming for youth and families, according to Duffy Hope's Eventbrite page for the game. This includes helping youth receive free programming and assistance with college, career and other skills.

Additionally, Allen's first ticketed concert in Delaware since the assault allegations is at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach on Sept. 28 and Sept. 29. Both shows were recently announced and quickly sold out.
