High-end dining comes to Nashville's Hillsboro Village — 24-karat gold-covered steaks and all

A 40-ounce steak wrapped in gold? You can get it soon in Hillsboro Village.

The Supper Club on Belcourt is scheduled to open this fall at 2000 Belcourt Ave. The upscale "fine-casual" American steakhouse will offer traditional steakhouse sides along with unique southern-inspired entrees and cocktails in a moody Art Deco interior atmosphere.

The restaurant comes from Make A Play Hospitality Group, which owns seven other properties, including the first Supper Club location in Memphis. The restaurant group is led by Grammy Award winning musician Joseph Johnson and Robert Higgins.

Capacity will be around 120 seats across two main dining rooms, two bars and two private dining rooms. An outdoor patio area will complement the indoor space.

The menu is spearheaded by Philadelphia-native chef Brandon Truesdale. One highlight is the "Golden Tomahawk Steak" which can be wrapped in real edible 24-karat gold for $80. Other menu items are short ribs and grits, lobster macaroni and cheese and rack of lamb.
