Apple TV+ has dropped the official High Desert trailer for the upcoming dark comedy that hails from executive producer Ben Stiller. The video features Patricia Arquette‘s Peggy as she becomes a private investigator in an attempt to get a fresh start following the death of her mother.
The series is scheduled to make its debut on May 17 with the first three episodes. It will then be followed by new episodes weekly every Wednesday.

High Desert is created and executive produced by Nancy Fichman, Katie Ford, and Jennifer Hoppe. The series stars Patricia Arquette, Matt Dillon, Christine Taylor, Weruche Opia, Brad Garrett, Bernadette Peters, Rupert Friend, and Keir O’Donnell. This marks Arquette’s latest collaboration with Stiller after working together in Severance and Escape at Dannemora.
“It follows Peggy (Arquette), an on-again-off-again addict who decides to make a new start after the death of her beloved mother, with whom she lived in the small desert town of Yucca Valley, California, and makes a life-changing decision to become a private investigator,” reads the logline.
The series is executive produced by Arquette, with Jay Roach directing. It is produced by Apple Studios, Red Hour Films, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Delirious Media.
