Chip and Joanna Gaines, stars of the HGTV show “Fixer Upper,” are clearly psyched about their new spinoff “Behind the Design.”
The fourth season of the couple’s home improvement series drew 20 million viewers, placing it at the top of HGTV’s shows. The Gaines’ take affordable houses and redesign them to fit their client’s needs. And now their spinoff, titled “Fixer Upper: Behind the Design,” will put Joanna in the spotlight, focusing in on how she designs the houses.
“[The show] focuses on each project, and you get an inside scoop of how we came up with a lot of the decisions and design elements that we get to incorporate,” Gaines said in a recent Instagram video (below), describing the upcoming spinoff.
The show’s success comes from the couple’s renovations as well as their chemistry on screen. The Gaines’ also published a book late last year titled, “The Magnolia Story,” which describes the key to their happy marriage, on and off screen.
