Battle on the Beach is back on HGTV, and the home renovation competition show is perfect for summertime viewing. Last week, the teams took on the kitchen renovations, and Ty Pennington's team of Kristin and Chyenne Smith took home the win. This week, their attention turned toward the main suites of the Oak Island, North Carolina, homes. Once again, Sarah and Bryan Baumler of Renovation Island were on hand to judge their work.

Mentor Taniya Nayak's team of Samantha and Sean Kilgore faced a small space, and she encouraged them to move walls and combine two small bedrooms to make the most of their square footage. Sarah and Bryan questioned the small, unfinished closet, but praised the spa-like bath. Bryan found some sloppy work with the grout on the bathroom tile.

Ty's team took a big risk by vaulting the bedroom ceiling, and they had to add insulation for a $3,000 price tag. Sarah found their theme with terracotta accents to be cohesive and appreciated the vaulted ceiling. But the bathroom lacked privacy, and Sarah had an issue with the fireplace wall placement.

Alison Victoria's team of Brandon Parker and Teresa Robinson had an upstairs space and opened a wall to create a luxurious bathroom, but they had to alter their plans when they found an HVAC system behind the wall. They chose not to move it after receiving a quote for $11,000. The team struggled with time management and their room was unfinished. They missed details like hardware and paint, but Bryan liked the calming design.

In the end, Bryan and Sarah deemed Taniya's team to be the winners of the challenge and the $3,000 cash prize. Sarah said they were chosen because of the quality craftsmanship, beautiful design, and well-allocated budget.

HGTV shared photos from the winning space on Instagram, and most fans seem to agree with the judges this week. They left comments like:

  • "The bedroom was so serene and tranquil. Loved the wallpaper above the bed…bathroom palms too…👏👏👏👏👏❤️"

  • "Beautiful spaces! I'm glad they listened to Taniya. The judges got it right this week."

  • "Loved their bedroom and bathroom so glad they won!!"

Even competing mentor Ty Pennington commented, "Well Done!! That was definitely a sweet suite!!! 👏👏"

Up next, the teams take on the living rooms. If you missed the episode, you can catch up on Max.
