"Heroes"

It turns out we can be heroes for more than just one day: A Heroes reboot is in the works!

The beloved NBC series will reportedly return as Heroes: Eclipsed, and will be set several years after the events of the original show, which ran for four seasons from 2006 to 2010. The reboot will focus on other newly-evolved humans discovering their own superpowers.

So far, other details are scant beyond that Tim Kring, the creator of the original Heroes and its 2015 sequel miniseries Heroes: Reborn, is at the helm.

Will the cast of Heroes be in Heroes: Eclipsed?

It remains to be seen if the original cast of Heroes will appear in Heroes: Eclipsed. It's worth noting that Jack Coleman, who starred as Noah Bennet, appeared in Heroes: Reborn along with castmates Sendhil Ramamurthy (as Dr. Mohinder Suresh), Masi Oka (as Hiro Nakamura) and Greg Grunberg (as Matt Parkman), so it's possible that they may reprise their roles again.

Hayden Panettiere may be unlikely to reprise the role of Claire Bennett because (spoiler alert!) her character died during childbirth in Heroes: Reborn. Another star who also may not appear might be Milo Ventimiglia, who told ComicBook.com he wasn't too optimistic about a reboot or revisit of Heroes.

"I feel like I've been trained to say 'never say never.' But I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing," he said in a February 2024 interview. "I don't think that one's gonna be revisited again."

Since the new series takes place after the original and not necessarily in a different universe, there's room for the surviving Heroes to appear in Heroes: Eclipsed.
