The second episode of My Hero Academia season 7 starts by giving a glimpse into Star’s past with her crew as she discusses her shortcomings. They comfort her, further telling her to depend on them since they are a team. In the present, Star and Stripe holds Shigaraki in place with the lasers and her Quirk. However, he doesn’t take any damage but is just held in a spot as she awaits the Tiamat missiles.

The missiles arrive, and Star and Stripe uses New Order to redirect the Tiamat missile to Shigaraki. However, he uses Decay and a backup Nomu to avoid fatal damage. He emerges from the rubble and attacks Star and Stripe to acquire her Quirk. Moreover, Shigaraki reaches her and touches her face, using Decay to absorb her Quirk. Although Star and Stripe tries to slow Decay’s effects with New Order, it doesn’t work as her body crumbles.

Star and Stripe then uses the last of her power and commands her Quirk to attack all of Tomura’s Quirks. He activates his newly acquired Quirk, but his body continues to destroy itself. Sensing Star and Stripe was attacking from the inside, the cruisers attack Shigaraki. Shigaraki runs away, looking for anyone to give the Quirk to. Meanwhile, Star and Stripe’s body crumbles into pieces.

However, Star and Stripe’s command to oppose all other Quirks includes New Order, which means it will disappear. Before leaving, she tells AFO that someone with the spirit of a Hero will defeat him. Shigaraki resonates with the message, believing it to be Midoriya.

With the ongoing search for Shigaraki, the world receives the news of Star and Stripe’s defeat at the hands of Shigaraki. The world leaders decide to abandon Japan and protect their own countries from a possible attack. Meanwhile, Commander Agper and the rest of the United States grapple with the loss of their hero, mourning Star and Stripe’s death and the implications it holds for the world.

Meanwhile, Star and Stripe’s crew members meet with All Might, who is sad about her death. They tell him that her death was not in vain, as they were able to collect data on Shigaraki’s body. The next day, All Might meets with Class 1-A and tells them Shigaraki won’t be able to move for at least a week.

He tells them the New Order would have destroyed some Quirks, and from here, it would be an all-out war. The episode ends with the class telling everyone they are ready to join the fight against the villains.
