Here's why there's not a new episode of 'America's Got Talent' this week

The auditions continue to impress in the latest season of "America's Got Talent."

Season 18 began on May 30 with its familiar premise: performers compete for a $1 million dollar prize. This season features celebrity judges Simon CowellHeidi KlumHowie Mandel and Sofía Vergara as well as host Terry Crews.

Last week's episode featured the Sharpe Family Singers, a family from New Jersey who performed, and impressed with, a rendition of the song "How Far I'll Go" from the movie Moana.

The episode also featured an audition from 10-year-old magician Ryland. He told the judges he has been performing magic since he was two years old.

Ryland impressed the judges by using numbers and letters to perform a predictive form of magic. He received four yeses and advanced.

Unfortunately, fans eagerly awaiting the next episode of the show will have to wait a week, as there is no new episode this Tuesday.

Why isn't there a new episode of 'AGT' on Tuesday, July 4?

Due to the Fourth of July holiday, 'America's Got Talent' will not have a new episode this week.

Instead, NBC will air the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular. The special begins at 8 p.m. ET and will rerun at 10 p.m. ET.

The next episode of 'America's Got Talent' is scheduled to air on Tuesday, July 11 at 8 p.m. ET.
