Here's why people are fed up with 'America's Got Talent'
On Tuesday’s America’s Got Talent, 15-year-old singer Makayla Phillips from Canyon Lake, California, wowed the crowd and judges with a performance of Demi Lovato’s “Warrior,” so much so that judge Heidi Klum gave her the Golden Buzzer. “I love the whole package. I love your smile. I love how you project to everyone. Your voice is incredible,” Klum said, before unleashing the buckets of gold confetti. But not everyone was excited that Klum gave Phillips the Golden Buzzer, mostly because she is a singer, and some took to Twitter:
Aaaaaaand another singer gets the #GoldenBuzzer. Can’t we get some variety? #AGT

First, she was good but not buzzer worthy. Two, nobody sings Demi except Demi. Three, Why are all the golden buzzers singers??? I thought this was AGT not American Idol. #AGT

With one person even recommending a format change:
The Golden Buzzer should be renamed the Singer Buzzer. #AGT #AmericasGotTalent

And while some people may have been happier to see Oscar the singing dog get the Golden Buzzer, Phillips is moving on in the show like, well, a warrior.America’s Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
