Here's Why (and When!) Harry Styles and Taylor Russell Broke Up
Harry Styles and Taylor Russell have parted ways after less than a year of dating—and if you're feeling nosy / wondering WHY GOD WHY, there is some information to pour over. The Sun was actually first to report this breakup news, and they claim there was a vibe shift between Harry and Taylor after their recent trip to Japan in April.
"Harry and Taylor have ended their relationship," a source told the outlet. "They went through a rough patch after their trip to Japan and are taking some time apart. He’s been in America and she’s been in London. They made a lovely couple and it was obvious Taylor made Harry happy. Things have become strained recently though and they’ve taken some time out.”
Clearly things ended recently, because it was only a few weeks ago (May 3, to be exact) that a source gushed to People about how solid Harry and Taylor were. “They are fairly serious and have traveled together. They do spend time in England,” the source said, noting that Harry is a “private person” and he and Taylor “have the same interests.”
Taylor actually made it clear how much she values privacy during an interview with The Face magazine last year, saying that when it comes to her dating life, “I’m never going to be volunteering all of my feelings. I’m somebody who, annoyingly, complicatedly, needs things to be asked and pulled from me to talk about it. But even then, I’m like, ’I’m sorry, is this too much? Is this too much?’ So I need a partner who is going to do that, or else it’s never going to work.”
