Here's where to find Fourth of July fireworks, parades and more around Montgomery

Want to watch fireworks fly for the Fourth of July around the River Region? There are several days worth of fireworks displays, parades and other activities for the whole family to enjoy.

Pike Road SummerFest

  • When: Thursday, June 29: Parking begins at 6 p.m. at Rolling Hills Park, 6001 Rolling Hills Blvd. Green space will be open for lawn chairs, picnics and blankets from 6:30-8:30 p.m. (enter through the West Entrance)

  • Where: Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation and Performing Arts Park, 6281 Trotman Road.

  • Cost: Free to attend

  • Info: Pike Road is first into the sky with holiday fireworks for the River Region. They're presenting SumerFest, a family-friendly show. They'll have food trucks, kids activities, inflatables and yard games. Picnics welcome, but no alcohol and no tents. Ball fields will also be open for picnics and playing. Fireworks begin at dark. Handicap parking will be available at the Pike Road Agriculture, Recreation & Performing Arts Park East Entrance.

Biscuits fireworks in Montgomery

  • When: Monday, July 3, after the Montgomery Biscuits 6:05 p.m. game

  • Where: Downtown Montgomery at Riverwalk Stadium, 200 Coosa St.

  • Tickets: Tickets to game available at milb.com/montgomery; and fireworks can also be seen from outside the stadium

  • Info: MAX Fireworks will be flying over downtown Montgomery from Riverwalk Stadium after the Montgomery Biscuits take on the Pensacola Blue Wahoos. The whole evening is a celebration of Independence Day and all things America.

  • Info: Each year on the 4th of July, people meet to parade up and down the streets of Cloverdale-Idlewild, ending the route at the Cloverdale Bottom Park with a short talk on the history of the holiday and to enjoy drinks and snacks. The parade marshal's identity is being kept a secret until the day of the parade. This year, they're looking back on what happened in 1823. The parade's been happening since 1975, according to organizer Charlie Colvin.   • Downtown parade: They'll have a downtown parade at 9 a.m. The parade will begin in front of the Autauga County Courthouse and end at the Stanley Jensen Stadium.

  • Lion's Club barbecue: From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Pratt Park, 460 Doster Road, with craft vendors and more.

  • Cardboard boat races: 10:30 a.m. Pratt Pool, 256 Doster St. in Pratt Park. Register in advance for $5 per boat or register the day of for $8 per boat. For rules and more information, contact Parks and Recreation at 334-595-0800.

  • Pool party: 1-5 p.m. Pratt Pool, 256 Doster St. They'll have a belly flop contest, popsicles, games and more.

  • Fireworks show: Once again, it's at the HomePlace Clock Tower, 2000 Constitution Ave., with the show starting at 9 p.m. Parking available in the surrounding lots so that you can watch the show from your vehicle.

  • Info: They'll have food trucks, non-food vendors, a kids zone featuring bounce house, balloons, cotton candy, face painting, and live music from Yung Vokalz and The Park Band. Fireworks extravaganza is at 9 p.m. According to the city, this will be one of their biggest fireworks shows to date.

  • Info: If you'd like to watch Montgomery's big fireworks show from the Alabama River, the Harriott II Riverboat has a special 2 hour cruise starting at 7 p.m. with live entertainment, concessions from  Wheel House Grille, and a cash bar. All seating is general admission, first come first serve.

Lake Jordan Fireworks Show

  • When: Tuesday, July 4. Fireworks begin at 8:30 p.m.

  • Where: Fireworks will be shot from the east (Titus) side of Jordan Dam in Elmore County, courtesy of the Lake Jordan Home Owners and Boat Owners (HOBO) Association.
