As Halloween approaches, there are events throughout the Space Coast for ghosts and ghouls of all ages, and their pets too! Here is a sampling to bewitch you.
Event details are subject to change, so we encourage you to check with presenting organizations about the status of their events.
Boo at the Zoo in Melbourne
The popular event is back at Brevard Zoo, 8225 North Wickham Road, Melbourne, every Saturday and Sunday in October from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be trick-or-treating, photo opportunities, Halloween decorations, spooktacular music, special performances and more. Costumes are encouraged. All Boo at the Zoo activities are included with general zoo admission and free for members. 'The Addams Family' at the Henegar Center
The show "The Addams Family" is playing at the Henegar Center, 625 E. New Haven Ave., Melbourne, through Oct. 22. Wednesday Addams has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family, and they are coming together for dinner. How will the creepy, kooky Addams family react? 'Dracula' at Melbourne Civic Theatre
The play "Dracula" is on stage at Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., from Oct. 6 through Nov. 12. As Count Dracula begins to exert his will upon the residents of London, they try to piece together the clues of his appearances in a valiant attempt to save themselves from a hideous fate. 'Evil Dead, the Musical' at Titusville Playhouse
The show is on stage at Titusville Playhouse, 301 Julia Street, Oct. 6 through 15. All the elements of the cult classic films "The Evil Dead," "Evil Dead 2" and "Army of Darkness" are combined in an outdoor, site-specific musical production that is more cheesy and funny than scary. Great Pumpkin Rescue in Rockledge
Kids ages 4 to 15 are invited to rescue pumpkins from a floating pumpkin patch at McLarty Aquatic Center, 790 Barton Blvd., Rockledge, on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will be given a number which corresponds to a floating pumpkin in the pool, which they will dive in and “rescue.” There will also be a pumpkin decorating contest, treat bags, swimming and more. 'Rocky Horror Picture Show' in West Melbourne
Dynamic Tension presents a live shadow cast performing “Rocky Horror” in front of the big screen at Cinemaworld West Melbourne 15, 4345 W. New Haven Ave., on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 13 and 14. Halloween pub crawl in Cocoa Beach
Ghouls and goblins ages 21 and older are invited to haunt Cocoa Beach at a Halloween pub crawl on Saturday, Oct. 14. The event will start at 5 p.m. at Salty Sisters, 20 N. Brevard Ave., followed by Johnathan’s Pub at 6 p.m., VFW Post at 7 p.m., Area 142 at 8 p.m. and The Dunes at 9 p.m. There will be a costume contest, door prizes and a 50/50 drawing to benefit National Veterans Homeless Support. ‘Le Cirque des Rêves’ concert in Melbourne
Melbourne Community Orchestra celebrates the approach of All Hallows’ Eve with “Le Cirque des Rêves,” a masquerade concert, at the Melbourne Auditorium, 625 E. Hibiscus Blvd., on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 18-19 at 7 p.m. From the haunting cadences of Khachaturian’s waltz from his “Masquerade Suite” to the mysterious creatures of Saint-Saëns’ “Carnival of the Animals” featuring dancers from Prelude Dance Company, the program will delve into the world of the macabre. Foggy Bluff Dead & Breakfast in Melbourne
Historic Green Gables, 1501 S. Harbor City Blvd., Melbourne, transforms into “Foggy Bluff,” where ghost walks around the grounds will be offered starting at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays from Oct. 19 to 29. There will also be kid-friendly events on Oct. 20, 21, 27 and 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 per adult and $10 for children. Halloween Hoopla in Palm Bay
Palm Bay Public Library, 1520 Port Malabar Blvd. NE, hosts the family-friendly Halloween event on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. It will include a Halloween craft, a STEAM experiment, goody bags, a viewing of “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!”, a costume parade and more. Adult Flashlight Pumpkin Hunt in Melbourne

'Bewitching Broadway' concert in Melbourne
Space Coast Symphony Orchestra revels in the Halloween season with a concert at the Scott Center at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, Melbourne, on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The program of fiendish Broadway favorites includes hits from “Sweeney Todd,” “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Rocky Horror Picture Show,” “Jekyll & Hyde,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Wicked” and more. Vocalists Michelle Knight and Cesar De LaRosa will perform with the orchestra. Halloween Slash Back at The Tangiers
Venture, if you dare, to the second annual Halloween show at The Tangiers on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. The event will flash back to a popular era of music and horror, sure to get you feeling spooky in time for Halloween. Silent film screening: 'The Phantom of the Opera' in Cocoa Village
Cocoa Village Playhouse, 300 Brevard Ave., will show the 1925 silent film “The Phantom of the Opera” on Oct. 21 at 6:30 p.m. In the film, a mad, disfigured composer (Lon Chaney) seeks love with a lovely young opera singer (Mary Philbin.) Spooktacular Paws in Cocoa Village
During the Cocoa Village Art & Craft Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22, Tails at the Barkery, 14 Oleander Street, will host a “Spooktacular Paws” fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For a $10 donation, have your special furry companion “create” their very own one-of-a-kind designer piece of art. Proceeds will benefit Mid Florida Sheltie Rescue. All pets must be on a leash, or in appropriate carriers, and have current vaccinations and county tags for the safety of our animals and friends. Halloween pub crawl in Cocoa Village
Revelers ages 21 and older can haunt Cocoa Village on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 6 p.m. to midnight. Costumes are not required, but there will be a costume contest with prizes as well as a 50/50 drawing to benefit the Children’s Hunger Project. The pub crawl starts at Cocoa Elks Lodge, 315 Florida Ave., at 6 p.m., followed by Murdock’s at 7 p.m., George & Dragon at 8 p.m., Village Biergarten at 9 p.m., Pub Americana at 10 p.m. and Dog N Bone at 11 p.m. Tickets that include six drinks are $20 in advance or $30 at the event. Halloween Golf Cart Parade in Satellite Beach
Golf cart owners will decorate their carts for a Halloween parade on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6 p.m. The parade starts at DeLaura Middle School, 300 Jackson Ave., Satellite Beach, and ends at the Satellite Beach Sports & Recreation Park, 750 Jamaica Blvd. There will be a decorating contest, food trucks, music, prizes and more. Space Coast Halloween Fest
This fun, indoor trick-or-treating event will be at Merritt Square Mall, 777 E. Merritt Island Causeway, on Sunday, Oct. 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Family-friendly local businesses will hand out candy and showcase their offerings. Spooky Saturday at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center
The movie “Casper” (PG) will be shown at the Palm Bay Aquatic Center, 420 Community College Parkway SE, Palm Bay, on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 6:45 p.m. Gates open at 5 p.m. for open swimming, games, crafts and other spooky surprises. The diving well will close at sunset when the movie starts. There is a limited capacity inside the aquatic center, so once capacity is reached, patrons are invited to bring blankets and chairs to watch the movie from outside the fence. Admission is free. North Brevard Fall Festival and Trunk-or-Treat in Titusville
The North Brevard Fall Festival and Trunk-or-treat will be at Fox Lake Park, 4400 Fox Lake Road, Titusville, on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. Come in costume to celebrate the season with trunk-or-treating, activity booths, a costume contest, face painting, haunted maze, hay ride, music and more. Melbourne Municipal Band’s Rock & Roll Revue will celebrate the spooky season with a concert at the Eau Gallie Civic Center, 1551 Highland Ave., on Friday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. Admission to the concert is $15, but there will be free dance lessons starting at 6 p.m. There will also be a costume contest for those who wish to dress up. Film screening: 'Ghost in the Graveyard' at Surfside Playhouse
The horror film “Ghost in the Graveyard” will be shown at Surfside Playhouse, 301 Ramp Road, Cocoa Beach, on Friday, Oct. 27 at 8 p.m. There will be a Q&A with Charlie Comparetto, the writer and director of the film, following the screening. In the movie, the town of Mt. Moriah comes under the thumb of Martha, a ghost who comes back to haunt the teens who witnessed her death as children, during a “game” of ‘Ghost in the Graveyard.’ Tickets are $12.
