If you still need to find that last-minute gift or the ingredient you just realized you need for that special Christmas Day dish, knowing what stores are open is a must, particularly since many places close for the holiday.

Here is a list of what is open and closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day:

Circle K: Open Christmas Eve with most locations open 24/7 on Christmas Day.

CVS: CVS stores will be open regular hours over the holiday; however, some stores may be closed or have reduced hours. It is best to call your local store to check their specific hours.

Dunkin' Donuts: Open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, hours may vary. They encourage customers to check the Dunkin' app to confirm store hours before heading in.

Speedway: Regular hours Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Starbucks: Some locations will be open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; call before you come.

Thorntons: Open Christmas Eve; times may vary Christmas Day.

Walgreens: Walgreens will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Day, the company told USA TODAY.

Waffle House: Open every day of the year 24/7.

Christmas closings:

Kentucky

  • Government: Federal, State, Jefferson County Clerk, Bullitt County and Oldham County offices closed Monday.

  • Courts: Federal, Jefferson, Bullitt and Oldham circuit and district courts closed Monday.

  • U.S. Postal Service: Post offices are closed and no regular mail delivery Monday.

  • Schools: Bullitt, Jefferson and Oldham counties public schools are closed Monday.

  • University and colleges: University of Louisville, Bellarmine University and Jefferson Community & Technical College are closed Monday.

  • Garbage pickup: No pickup for garbage, yard waste and recycling collection Monday in the Urban Service District (formerly Louisville city limits). Collection through the week will be delayed by one day because of the holiday. Those who have waste and recycling collections by private companies should check with them for holiday schedules.

  • Banks: Closed Monday.

  • Public libraries: All branches of the Bullitt County, Oldham County and Louisville Free Public Libraries are closed Monday.

INDIANA

Clark County

  • Government offices: Charlestown, Clarksville, Jeffersonville, Clark County and Sellersburg closed Monday.

  • Courts: Jeffersonville, Clarksville and Clark Circuit and Superior courts closed Monday.

  • Schools: Clarksville Community, Greater Clark County Schools, West Clark Community Schools and Ivy Tech Community College, Ivy Tech Community College closed Monday.

  • Libraries: All branches of the Jeffersonville Township and Charlestown-Clark County public libraries closed Monday.

Floyd County

  • Government offices: Georgetown, New Albany and Floyd County closed Monday.

  • Courts: Floyd Circuit, County and Superior courts and U.S. Bankruptcy and District courts closed Monday.

  • Schools: New Albany-Floyd County Schools and Indiana University Southeast closed Monday.

  • Library: New Albany-Floyd County Library closed Monday.

Harrison County

  • Government offices: Corydon Town Hall and Harrison County closed Monday.

  • Courts: Harrison Circuit and Superior courts closed Monday.

  • Schools: South Harrison, Lanesville and North Harrison closed Monday.

Other

U.S. Postal Service: No regular mail delivery and post offices closed Monday.

Banks: Closed Monday.
