The Kings trolled ESPN after beating the Warriors
The Sacramento Kings won a game in Oakland on Monday night that no one outside of Sacramento (and probably not many within, if we’re being honest) saw coming.
The 110-106 triumph over the Warriors is one that makes you double-check the score a few times to make sure it’s right. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index even went so far as to give Sacramento less than a three percent chance to emerge from Oracle Arena with a victory. The Kings didn’t let that bit of statistical analysis slide, and in honor of Memphis’ recently fired coach David Fizdale, responded with a resounding “Take that for data” of their own.

The Golden State Warriors were without Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant on Monday, but any roster with Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Andre Iguodala on it should be able to fend off a young Sacramento team.
Instead, the Kings used a complete performance from Willie Cauley-Stein (19 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists) to steal a win while their bench combined for 54 points — including double-digit scoring from rookies Frank Mason (14 points) and Bogdan Bogdanovic (12 points).
It’s the Kings first victory at Oracle in nearly half a decade, so they certainly earned the right to celebrate a bit.

The Kings return home to face the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. ESPN’s Basketball Power Index currently gives Sacramento a 30 percent chance to win, so stay tuned to see if it shocks the system two games in a row.
