Here's How Much Everyone Reportedly Got Paid for 'Star Wars: The Force Awakens'

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is shattering box office records, making a whopping $529 million globally in its opening weekend alone. And it's a good thing, because those actors didn't come cheap. New reports allegedly reveal how much the cast of Episode VII made for the film. Here's a taste: Harrison Ford made 50 times as much as some of his costars.

According to Variety, Ford made anywhere from $10 to $20 million, while Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill made a fraction of that, but still in the "low seven figure range." Disney reportedly decided to create two different pay scales: one for the original cast members who were returning, and a lower one for the new characters.

Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac, who played Kylo Ren and Poe Dameron, respectively, reportedly earned in the mid-to-high six figures since they had experience in bigger movies and TV shows. But the actual stars of the movie, John Boyega and Daisy Ridley, only made around $100,000-$300,000, since they were relative newcomers and had less negotiating power, Variety notes.

Variety reports that the cast won't get a cut of the back-end box office until the gross reaches $1 billion, but that milestone seems pretty likely. It's also pretty likely that the cast will negotiate for higher salaries for future Star Wars movies, with one (spoiler alert!) exception: Ford, whose character dies at the end of The Force Awakens.
