Leap Day, finally! It's only been four years!

The quadrennial holiday is celebrated on Feb. 29, 2024 — marking its first return to the calendar since 2020. It falls within Pisces season, which spans from Feb. 19 to March 20 each year.

With an added day to the month of February, the year will now consist of 366 days instead of 365 — and for those who were born on Feb. 29, it's time to finally celebrate their birthday on the actual date (as opposed to March 1 or Feb. 28 in common years).

Naturally, one would assume this non-annual mixup in the year would affect one's zodiac sign; meanwhile, celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas surprisingly tells PEOPLE "there is no astrological significance of a Leap Year."

This is because a Leap Year is tied to the Gregorian calendar. Instead, Thomas — who's known for his cosmic guidance for celebrities, business executives and prominent influencers — explains that a difference in "astrological weather" will be felt around Leap Day, including "mixed energy" due to certain planetary alignments.

While some of Leap Year's energy may feel "somber," Thomas predicts "a very fun and sweet energy" on Feb. 29, which "could put us in a good mood and bring luck to our lives!" This is because Mercury will dance in a "degree of harmony" with Jupiter, prompting us to view life from "an optimistic perspective."

Aries (March 21 – April 19)

Cha-Ching! Thomas predicts "exceptionally positive news around your finances" could come your way this Leap Year, Aries.

There are various ways this could affect you. First, Thomas says you may have "a brilliant mental breakthrough, idea or dream that encourages you to make a change" around your finances. "Listen to your intuition," he advises.

This positive news may also present itself is through another person. "It could mean that someone behind-the-scenes has been rooting for you and has your back and is likely to help you with a raise, new client or job offer now or in the weeks ahead," explains Thomas.

Taurus (April 20 – May 20)

Your social circle just got bigger, Taurus! Thomas says Leap Year can have you feeling "more popular than ever" because "everyone wants to be around you."

Take advantage of your magnetic force, especially on Leap Day. "Attend an event, go to a networking mixer or just spend time with friends," suggests Thomas. He notes you could also benefit by asking those you know for a "special favor."

Elsewhere in his prediction, Thomas says you could "suddenly realize a major long-term goal, hope or dream is now in your reach." Be confident and courageous, you got this!

Gemini (May 21 – June 20)

If you've got ideas, Gemini, this could be your time to share them! Thomas predicts "a sudden mental breakthrough or intuitive hunch could be pushing you toward greater heights in your career" this Leap Year.

Thomas says your planetary ruler, Mercury, is "bringing you plenty of big ideas and growth in your professional life." Therefore, take advantage.

Pitch that project! Take on that important business call! Apply for that new job! Why? Because Thomas says "you could win" around this time.

Cancer (June 21 – July 22)

The universe is on your side, Cancer, as it's "showering you in sweet blessings" this Leap Year. Thomas says this can come in the form of a friend's helping hand, which may assist you in "personal or professional growth."

How? "An introduction could happen," says Thomas. "Or you could ask someone for a favor around how you can step outside of your comfort zone in a way that opens your mind," he adds.

On Leap Day, Thomas says you could have extra luck in areas including "travel, international relations or business, media endeavors, academics, legalities or simply engaging in something new that fills you up with profound curiosity," he shares.

Leo (July 23 – August 22)

Prepare to level up, Leo! "A big win around your professional life could be around the corner this Leap Year," predicts Thomas.

"You’ve been on a triumphant streak for a while or are pursuing new horizons in your professional world," he notes. Keep your hears open and your eyes pealed on Leap Day.

"You could hear news around a bonus, settlement, new benefits package or job negotiation," says Thomas. "It could bring you a winning stroke of luck if you are actively engaged with assets, investments or wealth creation."

Virgo (August 23 – September 22)

'Tis the season for love! Virgo, Thomas predicts "relationship matters could be quite sweet for you" this Leap Year.

If you've been recently discussing "long-term plans" with a partner, Leap Day could be pivotal. Feb. 29 could be an "excellent time to talk about how you both can pursue personal or professional growth side-by-side like a power couple," says Thomas.

Elsewhere in his prediction, Thomas says "you could be quite in luck" if you'd like to pursue long-distance travel, international relations or business or go back to school. "Submit a proposal or contact people now," he advises.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

Time to grind, Libra — it'll pay off! This Leap Year could bring "a lot of extra opportunity around work and finances," predicts Thomas.

"You could discuss a new benefits package with your employer," he Thomas. "The present cosmic alignment could help you around legalities, wealth creation, a settlement or inheritance."

The best thing to do now? "Connect with an advisor and discuss your long-term financial goals," says Thomas.

Scorpio (October 23 – November 21)

Of all the zodiac signs, you’re the luckiest in love and relationships this Leap Year, Scorpio!

With so much cosmic energy on your side, you could find that you’re falling deeply in love or have a heart-to-heart conversation. If single, this is a five-star day to mix and mingle or go on a first date! If coupled, plan something fun and spicy to do or discuss goals you’d love to build toward side-by-side. Sagittarius (November 22 – December 21)

You're in a rhythm, Sagittarius! Keep on grooving, as Thomas notices "you could be building a better work and life balance" this Leap Year.

Get ready to see a clash in your personal and professional life, Aquarius ... but for the better! Thomas predicts a "boost of energy" could bring "happiness" to "both your finances and domestic life."

He says Leap Day could highlight your "income, job and finances," but also how they "align with your home and family." News around money matters could positively impact a "move" or "renovation," for example.
