Here's How You Know the Cast of the 2024 “Road House” Movie Starring Jake Gyllenhaal

Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor McGregor and Post Malone are joined by some other familiar faces in 'Road House,' now streaming on Prime Video

Road House 2024 is serving up some familiar faces.

The "high-octane, adrenaline-filled reimagining" of the 1989 Patrick Swayze movie features Jake Gyllenhaal in the lead role of Dalton, an ex-UFC fighter who "takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems," per a synopsis.

Directed by Doug Liman, the new Road House is a reimagining of the one in which late actor Swayze played a hard-hitting bouncer responsible for laying down the law at a rowdy bar. That film, directed by Rowdy Herrington, also starred Kelly Lynch and Sam Elliott.

The new film features Daniela Melchior, Billy Magnussen, Jessica Williams, Joaquim de Almedia, Lukas Gage, Arturo Castro, B.K. Cannon, Beau Knapp and Darren Barnet, plus Post Malone and MMA fighter Conor McGregor in his first-ever movie role.

Daniela Melchior as Ellie

Portuguese actress Melchior, 27, made her big-screen debut in 2018's The Black Book, and went on to star as Cleo Cazo/Ratcatcher 2 in The Suicide Squad (2021), Ura in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Isabel Neves in Fast X (2023).

She has also appeared as a primary cast member in several Portuguese telenovelas, beginning in 2014 with Mulheres.

Billy Magnussen as Ben Brandt

A Tony Award nominee, Magnussen is known for his work across film and television, notably in such recent movies as Aladdin (2019), The Many Saints of Newark (2021), No Time to Die (2021) and Spy Kids: Armageddon (2023).

The 38-year-old made his TV debut on As the World Turns in 2008, and has since appeared in series like The People v. O. J. Simpson, Get Shorty, Black Mirror and Made for Love.

Jessica Williams as Frankie

Actress Williams is a former correspondent for The Daily Show, a gig she held from 2012 until 2016.

She broke further into acting in movies like Hot Tub Time Machine 2, the Fantastic Beasts franchise and Booksmart.

Williams, 34, played a main role as Mia Hines on 2021's Love Life, as well as appeared on the series Shrinking as Gaby.

Joaquim de Almeida as The Sheriff

Born in Lisbon, Portugal, de Almeida has a screen career spanning more than 40 years, including roles in Clear and Present Danger (1994), Fast Five (2011), The Hitman's Bodyguard (2017) and Downsizing (2017).

De Almeida, 67, has also appeared on several TV series dating back to Miami Vice in 1985, and currently stars as Father Domingo on the miniseries Shōgun.

JD Pardo as Dell

Another Fast & Furious franchise alum is Pardo, 43, who appeared as a young Jack Toretto in 2021's F9. Twilight fans might also recognize him for his role as Nahuel in 2012's Breaking Dawn – Part 2 — but eight years before that, he appeared as Ryan Hanson in A Cinderella Story.

Pardo's TV credits are even more stacked, with starring roles on Revolution (2012 to 2014), The Messengers (2015), East Los High (2015 to 2016) and Mayans M.C. (2018 to 2023). He also had a recurring part on The Terminal List in 2022.

Lukas Gage as Billy

Gage, 28, has made waves on TV in recent years on series like Euphoria, Love, Victor, The White Lotus, You and Fargo.

A 10-year veteran on the big and small screen, he appeared in movies like Wyrm (2022), Moonshot (2022) and Down Low (2023), the latter of which he also co-wrote.

Following Road House, Gage is attached to the upcoming Smile sequel.

Arturo Castro as Moe

Guatemalan actor Castro, 38, has been working in TV and film for over 15 years, and most recently appeared in movies like Yes Day (2021), Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022) and The Menu (2022).

He also played Jaimé Castro on Broad City from 2014 to 2019, and had roles on Narcos, Silicon Valley, The Terminal List and more.

B.K. Cannon as Laura

Road House marks Cannon's third film, but the 33-year-old has been working on TV since 2005, with roles in Grey's Anatomy, House, ER, Criminal Minds, Switched at Birth, Bones, Chicago Fire and, most recently, Why Women Kill.

Beau Knapp as Vince

Knapp made his feature-film debut in 2011's Super 8, and later appeared in movies like The Finest Hours (2016), The Nice Guys (2016), Death Wish (2018) and Mosquito State (2021), as well as alongside Gyllenhaal, 43, in 2015's Southpaw.

The actor, 34, has starred in a handful of TV shows, most recently appearing as Mark Sirenko in multiple Law & Order series.

Darren Barnet as Sam

Barnet, 32, is a mainstay in the rom-com sphere, having starred in movies and TV series like Love Hard, Anyone but You and Never Have I Ever, often as the "other guy" in a love triangle.

Other credits to his name include Gran Turismo, This Is Us, Criminal Minds, Turnt and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., plus various voice roles.

Travis Van Winkle as Dex

Van Winkle's 20-year screen career includes roles in Accepted (2006), Transformers (2007), Friday the 13th (2009) and more.

The 41-year-old currently stars as Aldon on FUBAR, with additional TV credits as Cary Conrad on season 3 of You (2021), Danny Green on The Last Ship (2014 to 2018), Jonah Breeland on Hart of Dixie (2013) and more.

Kevin Carroll as Stephen

Carroll, 54, has been working in film and TV for 30 years, with more recent movie roles in Till (2022), Velvet Buzzsaw (2019), Bloodline (2018) and Kings (2017).

He has over two dozen TV credits, among them as Virgil on The Walking Dead (2019 to 2021), Alton Saint on Snowfall (2017 to 2022) and John Murphy on The Leftovers (2015 to 2017).

He also played Freeman Ransom on 2020's Self-Made, and Zeke Dawes on the series Let the Right One In (2022).

Road House is now streaming on Prime Video.
