Our man Harry Styles has been having himself a great night at the Grammy Awards. First, he led off the not-as-weird-as-it-could've-been night with a steamy rendition of the song of last summer (and probably this one, too), "Watermelon Sugar." He looked damn good doing it too, shirtless in a leather blazer and pants. Then? He won his first Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance.

But when he nabbed the award, Styles hit a bit of an innocent hiccup. About midway through the ceremony, after winning for "Watermelon Sugar," the former One-Directioner took to the outdoor stage to give an acceptance speech. He thanked all the people he needed to thank. Shouted out the people who recorded the song with him. Then, the broadcast cut the sound for a few seconds. Turns out, Harry Styles was censored when he was doing the most Harry Styles thing—being a genuine dude, merely complimenting his competitors in the category.

"I feel very grateful to be here," Styles said. "All these songs are fucking massive."

Styles really was in quality company for the award. He was up against the likes of records from Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, and Biebs. And Taylor Swift's "Cardigan." Never forget Taylor. Anyway, it's a bummer, really. The world takes an L for every Harryism that we miss. Hopefully the Recording Academy lets the man speak when he wins his inevitable next award in 2022, whatever that may be.
