We're all obsessed with Luca Guadagnino's magnum opus Challengers, and we can't wait to see what he does next!

The Italian director is keeping a full slate, with upcoming projects like Separate Rooms (with Challengers star Josh O'Connor in talks to star) and After The Hunt with Julia Roberts, Andrew Garfield, and Ayo Edebiri. But one project we're most excited for is his next, upcoming film Queer!

Ever since Queer was first announced, we've been dying to learn more, and now we know quite a bit about what the movie will be like.

So here's everything you need to know about Luca Guadagnino's Queer!

What's it about?

Queer is a historical romantic drama that follows an American expat named Lee who lives in Mexico City in the 1940s. There he meets and becomes infatuated with a younger man named Allerton, who is a drug addict and was discharged from the Navy.

What is it based on?

Queer is based on the 1985 novel of the same name by William S. Burroughs. It's a sequel to his previous book Junkie.

Who's in it?

Daniel Craig, known for the Knives Out films as well as playing James Bond in movies like Spectre and Casino Royale, stars as Lee, opposite Drew Starkey as Allerton. The cast also includes Lesley Manville, Jason Schwartzman, Henry Zaga, Drew Droege, and Ariel Schulman. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who did the soundtrack for Challengers are also doing the music for this film. The Queer script was also written by Challengers screenwriter Justin Kuritzkes, and the Queer costumes will also be done by Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson, another one of Guadagnino's Challengers collaborators.

When does it come out?

Queer is expected to debut later this year during the fall festival circuit. The rumor is it that the film is three hours long and will premiere at the Venice Film Festival, which begins August 28.

How sexy will it be?

Very sexy. Guadagnino has said that the film features a lot of sex, so we definitely win this one!
