Here's every Wisconsin restaurant Guy Fieri has visited on Food Network's 'Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives'

A visit from the mayor of Flavortown is a blessing in the restaurant world.

When Guy Fieri, the over-the-top restaurateur and TV host, arrives with his Food Network show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives," it's a huge attention boost that can be good for business, too.

Fieri has come to Wisconsin several times to shoot a segment for "Triple D." Here's a rundown of the state restaurants he's featured:

Anchor Bar and Grill in Superior

Anchor Bar and Grill offers a menu with 19 burgers that reviewers have called "delicious" and "cheap." The restaurant, which says it has "the best burgers and fries in the Twin Ports," is decorated in nautical artifacts.

Location: 413 Tower Ave.

Hours: 11 a.m.-2 a.m. every day.

Episode: The Anchor was featured on ''A Little Twisted,'' which aired in season 11 in 2011. Fieri, who said he was urged by viewers to go to the "dive," highlighted the burgers, including one with green olives and cream cheese, one with cashews and Swiss cheese, and the Gally Buster, a one-pound triple cheeseburger.

Franks Diner, which just made Reader's Digest's list of the most iconic diners in every state, has been a beloved establishment in Kenosha since 1926. It specializes in breakfast but offers a variety of lunch items, too.

Location: 508 58th St.

Hours: 6 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays, 7 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Saturdays, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sundays.

Episode: Franks Diner was featured on "Breakfast," which aired in season one in 2007. Fieri digs into one of Franks' Garbage Plates, a combination of eggs, hash browns, green peppers and onions, with a choice of meats, cheeses and veggies.

Delta Diner in Delta

Delta Diner is a classic retro-style diner in what Fieri calls "the middle of nowhere," in northwestern Wisconsin between Ashland and Superior. Billed as the "home of the unpretentious foodie," it has offered breakfast and specialty sandwiches for nearly 20 years.

Hours: 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday-Monday

Episode: Delta Diner was featured on "Old School Joints," which aired in season 21 in 2014. Fieri sampled the red eye gravy and biscuits, and jalapeno pancakes, which he called some of the best pancakes he's had.

Comet Cafe in Milwaukee opened in 2005 but closed in 2020 because of the coronavirus pandemic. It reopened in June 2022, though, and offers an extensive drink, brunch and main menu that also includes vegan options.

Location: 1947 N. Farwell Ave.

Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m. every day.

Episode: Comet Cafe was featured on "Comfort Cookin'," which aired on season six in 2009. Fieri highlighted a number of dishes, including the compact turkey dinner, "beer-battered, fried balls of slow-roasted turkey" with stuffing and mashed potatoes.

Wisconsin restaurants on 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives' that have closed

Cempazuchi, a Mexican restaurant in Milwaukee that was on 1205 E. Brady St. for nearly 20 years, closed in 2017. The restaurant was featured in the "Burgers, Tacos and Dogs" episode, which aired in the show's seventh season in 2009.

Shorty’s Pizza & Smoked Meats in Superior, which was featured on the "Cross-Country Classics" episode that aired in season 21 in 2014, closed in 2021 due to labor shortages in the hospitality industry.

Kounty Quarthouse Restaurant in South Range was featured in the "Small Town Standouts" episode that aired in season 21 in 2014. The restaurant has since closed.

The Brick House Cafe and Catering in Cable was featured in the show's 21st season in 2014 in the episode "Meat in the Middle." According to an article from the Sawyer County Record, the restaurant was destroyed by a fire in December.
