Henry Cavill Shows Off His Superhero Skills Decorating for Christmas

While Christmas decorations are certainly beautiful, they are by no means easy to handle. Real trees leave needle trails, and threading lights through branches is a prickly project. One more issue: Is keeping a large tree standing upright with four tiny screws really the best solution we can come up with?! Enter Henry Cavill.

It seems that the British actor, 33, is more than a superhero on the big screen. His superpowers carry over into real life — or at least it looked that way when he went to get a Christmas tree over the weekend.

The charmer shared a photo from ground zero — aka his local Christmas tree farm. It appears ol’ Superman is holding his gigantic tree in the palm of one hand. He captioned it, “Is this really the biggest tree you’ve got? #ChristmasSpiritActivated#GotElves.”

It seems a crane helped with the optical illusion (this was heavily investigated, in case you care to read more), but it didn’t detract from the funny photo. A second collage showed him tying the huge fir into his even bigger rig, which we would need a ladder — or a boost — to get into.

And if all that doesn’t make you want to call the guy over to have him go pick up your tree and bring it home, this will: Cavill, dressed in a Santa shirt, in a very red room, as “elves” (one wearing a Superman shirt) materialize and effortlessly decorate the new greenery without any ornaments breaking, stars falling, trees toppling, or fistfights breaking out (which is more than we can say about our own tree-trimming). “Run Rudolph, Run” perfectly accompanied the high-speed video.

So it turns out that all we really want for Christmas this year is Henry Cavill. He can go out and get our tree. Carry it home. Decorate it. And then when he’s all done, bring us a hot toddy on a silver tray.
