Stuff-a-Bus

It's time to stuff the shelves again for the Area 10 Agency On Aging Mobile Food Pantry. Join in the fun and help them Stuff-a-Bus with nonperishable food items at this important food-raising event scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12. Volunteers are needed to collect food at four Kroger locations from 8 a.m.- 2p.m. Come participate as an individual or as a team, and help the Area 10 Agency On Aging Mobile Food Pantry continue to serve hundreds of home-bound individuals in Monroe and Owen counties with supplemental groceries each month. Chocolate Walk for the Animals

Help the Brown County Humane Society during one of their most exciting (and delicious) fundraising events, the annual Chocolate Walk in Nashville! Volunteers are needed on Nov. 12 for two shifts, a morning shift from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and an afternoon shift running 1-5:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed to help greet participants, check tickets and pass out the yummy chocolate treats to ticket-holders at one of the 39 Chocolate Walk participating shops and restaurants. AIDS Memorial Quilt 2022

Nov. 10-12, the Aids Memorial Quilt will be on display at the Indiana Memorial Union’s Alumni Hall (at 900 E. Seventh St.). This event runs 10 a.m.-9 p.m. daily, with special performances, discussions, and workshops scheduled each day. Campus and community prevention teams will also be available for students and community members to ask questions and learn about HIV/AIDS, prevention best practices and receive free HIV testing. Volunteers are needed to help greet visitors, read names and assist with other tasks as needed. Bloomington Handmade Market volunteers

Help the Bloomington Handmade Market get ready for their big event taking place Nov. 12-13 at the Monroe County Convention Center. Volunteers are needed now to help with poster/postcard distribution (until Oct. 30) and then with lawn sign distribution happening on Nov. 5 (access to a car is required for this role). Monroe County United Ministries Wish List

The Monroe County United Ministries is open to all who need assistance in Monroe County. Donations help them support their programs seeking to serve children, their families, and individuals who are in need of affordable childcare, basic needs assistance, and financial support.

Donation Delivery Instructions: Staff members are on-site at 827 W. 14th Court (in Bloomington) Monday-Friday from noon to 4 p.m. to assist in collecting donations through a contactless drop-off. When you arrive, please call 812-339-3429, ext. 14, 15 or 16.
