Fresh off her turn as a sinister modeling scout on Hulu’s American Horror Stories, Rinna will guest-star in the Season 2 premiere of CBS’ So Help Me Todd on Thursday, Feb. 15 (9/8c), TVLine has learned exclusively. We also have your first look at her shady character.
Rinna will step into the role of beloved local morning talk show host Jennifer Gianola, an old friend of Margaret’s (Marcia Gay Harden). But according to Jennifer’s official description, her friendly face conceals an off-screen persona that “isn’t quite so nice and cuddly.”
Fortunately, Rinna has plenty of experience stirring up drama on screen. Her previous credits also include memorable turns on Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, Veronica Mars and, of course, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
Starring Skylar Astin in the title role, So Help Me Todd follows a disgraced-but-lovable private detective who works to repair his damaged career — with extremely mixed results — by assisting with major cases at his mother’s law firm.
The cast also includes Madeline Wise as Todd’s sister Allison, Tristen J. Winger as investigator Lyle, Inga Schlingmann as Todd’s lawyerly ex-girlfriend Susan and Rosa Evangelina Arredondo as Margaret’s assistant Francey. The series was created by Scott Prendergast.
