Tristan Rogers has received many accolades throughout his career. The General Hospital star won a Daytime Emmy in 2020 for his work as Doc in the digital drama Studio City. Now, another honor is being planned for him in Palm Springs, where the actor resides.

Palm Springs Walk of Stars

The Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood is well-known, but there’s a similar honor for stars located a little over 100 miles east. The Palm Springs Walk of Stars has honored over 460 celebrities with their names on sidewalks in Palm Springs ever since 1992.

A GoFundMe for Rogers, which was set up by Melissa Neiderman, Michele Mahoney, and Alan Kelly, is hoping to raise money to make sure the GH fan favorite receives his honor. “We are incredibly excited to announce that the Palm Springs Walk of Stars has accepted the nomination for Tristan Rogers to receive a star in Palm Springs,” reads a GoFundMe essay.

“Tristan is a Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor best known for his role as Scorpio on General Hospital. He has voiced Jake in The Rescuers Down Under, has given his voice to multiple major TV ad campaigns, played Colin Atkinson on The Young and the Restless, played Lex in The Bay, and played Doc in Studio City, his award-winning role.” Additionally, Rogers played the short-term role of savvy private investigator Hunter Jones, who helped crack the case of who shot Grant Chambers (Charles Grant) in 1997.

“Tristan and his wife Teresa have made Palm Springs their home for over 30 years,” the informational GoFundMe page read. “They have lent their time and talent to many local charitable organizations. Tristan has never said no to helping out our community. It would be a beautiful thank you if we could raise the funds to give him the gift of a star. Thank you in advance, Friends of Tristan Rogers.”

Rogers came onto GH in December 1980, as Robert Scorpio, a WSB (World Security Bureau) agent, who was determined to locate the Ice Princess. Scorpio soon became pals with Luke (Anthony Geary) and Laura (Genie Francis), while Rogers quickly emerged as one of the show’s most popular leading men. Fans took quickly to Scorpio’s charm and wit. His romance with Emma Samms’s Holly became immensely popular with viewers.

Over the years, the secret agent became the Port Charles Police Commissioner, and today, he serves as the town’s district attorney. Rogers’s love interests over the years have included Tiffany Hill (Sharon Wyatt), Jackie Templeton (Demi Moore; Kim Delaney), Finola Hughes (Anna), Katherine Delafield (Edie Lehmann), and, most recently, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).
