Helicopter Dumps Water on North Dakota Wildfire

Huge plumes of smoke wafted over a highway near Medora, North Dakota, as firefighters battled a wildfire on Thursday, April 1.

Footage shared by the North Dakota National Guard shows smoke filling the sky near the I-94 highway, as a helicopter dumps water on the flames.

A State of Emergency was declared for the City of Medora and surrounding areas.

The Billings County Sheriff’s Office told local media nearly 3,000 acres had burned near Medora.
