LAPD Officer Drake Madison confirmed to USA TODAY on Oct. 17 that an accident involving two vehicles took place at 4:50 p.m. on San Vincente Boulevard in Los Angeles but declined to name the parties involved. One person was taken to the hospital, he added.

Footage obtained by TMZ showed a white car striking a black SUV in the middle of an intersection. The SUV continued to skid through the intersection before rolling onto the driver's side.

Hunt is best known for her Academy Award-winning performance in 1997's "As Good as It Gets," as well as her four-time Emmy-winning role as Jamie Buchman in "Mad About You."
