Heidi Klum on Her Oscars Dress: ‘I’m Not Afraid to Take Risks’
Heidi Klum isn’t afraid to take fashion risks on the red carpet, even if she ends up on the worst dressed list.
The supermodel got mixed reviews for the lavender Marchesa gown she wore to the 88th Academy Awards. Memes came flooding in comparing her to Cinderella’s fairy godmother, Blanche from The Golden Girls, Rapunzel, and even a loofa.
“I’m just not very plain Jane,” the 42-year-old model told The Insider With Yahoo as she gears up for the new season of America’s Got Talent. “I love fashion so I’m not afraid to take risks. I don’t like simple dresses. To me that’s too boring. I like fun fashion. I celebrate people who do that,” she continued. “Like my personality is kind of how my fashion is. It’s a little all over the place. It’s colorful and you just never know what you’re gonna get.”
