Heidi Klum has come around to liking peanut butter and jelly sandwiches — with a twist!

In an Instagram Story posted on Sunday, the model, 50, gave fans a look at how she throws together a PB&J. In her first video of the recipe, Klum spreads peanut butter on top of a slice of bread. Surrounding the bread was a jar of jam, peanut butter, and interestingly enough, just a simple stick of butter.

"Sometimes this just hits the spot," she says in the clip.

Not long after, Klum then showed off a "round two" of her sandwich, featuring butter already spread across her bread. By the looks of it, one slice of bread included the butter and a spread of peanut butter on top of it, while the other featured some butter and jelly.

"When I first came to America, I didn't know what the obsession was," she said of the sandwich. "Now I am obsessed myself. Don't worry, I'll eat the crust."

Klum's last clip of her unique recipe showed her cutting into the completed sandwich with a knife. "Doesn't look as good as it tastes," she said.

While Klum's PB&J may seem a bit odd to some, it's actually not so uncommon. Some grilled PB&J recipes online encourage the use of butter, while Reddit users have certainly debated the merits of completing the sandwich with a spread of butter, too.

Other celebs haven't been afraid to get creative with PB&J either, including Dwayne Johnson, who previously has shown off a four-inch-thick brioche French toast that he topped with both peanut butter and jelly. (The actor's private chef also recently shared an at-home version with PEOPLE of The Rock's famous French toast recipe, loaded up with homemade bananas Foster syrup and macadamia nuts.)

Austin Butler is another big advocate for PB&J. The Elvis star, 32, revealed on an episode of Hot Ones earlier this year that he has "very fond memories of grape jam" after growing up eating the sandwich with his mom during school lunch breaks.

"It's funny how certain people, especially from other countries, think that you're crazy for liking it," he said. "It's like a comfort food for me."

It was also a comfort food for Elvis Presley, who notably tossed some banana and bacon into his own recipe. "They're thought of as some joke or something like that to certain people, but they're really delicious," Butler said.
