Heavy Hail Falls as Northern Virginia Struck by Thunderstorm

The National Weather Service warned of wind-speeds up to 70 mph and hailstones the size of half-dollars as storms struck Leesburg, Virginia, on June 2.

NBC4 Washington reported “heavy rain, strong winds, flooding, hail and lightning” in Washington DC and its surrounding area.
