Heather Rae El Moussa is keeping her son Tristan Jay close to her at all times.

The Selling Sunset star, 36, revealed on her Instagram, Wednesday that she has had her son’s name tattooed behind her ear.

She shared a close-up shot of her new ink in an Instagram post, which featured a large heart and her 10-month-old son’s name written in cursive letters behind her right ear.

“Before & after Tristan 🤍👉🏻 …it’s the little things 🥹,” Heather captioned the post, which also featured a shot of her during pregnancy which was taken by her husband, Tristan's father, Tarek El Moussa.

On her Instagram Story, the reality star shared the process in a series of videos. One clip showed her lying down on a chair as a tattoo artist inked in the design. She wrote, “Got a little something today," over the video.

"Are you excited, honey?” Tarek, 42, could be heard asking his wife in another clip to which she responded, “Yeah, I’ve wanted this for a long time.”

A second video showed the tattoo artist delicately writing Tristan’s name in cursive script alongside the words, “@kareemtattoo attention to detail.”

After the tattoo was completed, Tarek asked in a clip, “Alright Kareem, how did the tattoo turn out?,” to which he replied, “Pretty good.”

“Alright honey are you ready?,” Tarek then asked his wife as she sat up in the chair. “I’m excited to see,” she replied. Tarek subsequently panned the camera behind her ear as she turned her head. Over the video, she wrote, “Got my little love’s name on me.”

Heather and Tarek welcomed their son on Jan. 31 and announced his birth on Instagram in a joint statement writing, "Mama & baby are happy, healthy, tired but doing well. Our hearts are so happy."

A few weeks later they revealed his full name: Tristan Jay El Moussa. They explained that they chose the moniker as Tarek was originally supposed to be named Tristan and his middle name came from Heather's dad's middle name.

In November, Heather opened up to PEOPLE about her experience of motherhood so far.

"It's truly the best experience," Heather said. "I did not think that I would love being a mom as much as I do, and I truly love being a mommy. It's my favorite. It's my era of my life and my favorite chapter of my life, and I just cannot wait to watch him grow and see all these little new things that he's doing. It's the best."
