Heather Locklear hospitalized again after reported 'overdose' call

Heather Locklear has been hospitalized again following her Sunday night arrest.

Ventura County, Calif., sheriffs’ deputies and paramedics were called to her home on Monday — after she was bailed out of jail after allegedly attacking a police officer and EMT — for a possible overdose, according to People magazine and TMZ.

A Ventura County Sheriff’s Office spokesman would confirm to Yahoo Entertainment only that the deputies were called to assist EMTs on a “medical call” that occurred at the star’s Thousand Oaks, Calif., address at about 3 p.m. PT. The patient, who was not identified, was transported to a local hospital. “There was no crime associated with the call,” Sergeant. Eric Buschow tells us. TMZ reports that her condition is stable and she’s getting the necessary treatment.

The Melrose Place actress is clearly in crisis. She was released from police custody on Monday morning after spending 12 hours in custody (first at a hospital and then in jail) after allegedly attacking a police officer who tried to break up a fight between her and a family member in her home. She also hit an EMT. The 56-year-old actress was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery on an officer and emergency personnel, Yahoo Entertainment confirmed. She is scheduled to appear in court in August.

When she was released, Locklear sources told People that she would be returning to the hospital to get the help she needs. However, the 911 call came first.

Locklear was previously hospitalized last week after another 911 call was placed for someone who was suicidal and violent. She was transported to a hospital for a psychological evaluation.

In February, she was arrested after a domestic dispute with her boyfriend, and she allegedly assaulted an officer.

Yesterday on The Talk, the co-hosts — like many in the entertainment industry — were worried about Locklear, who was a primetime superstar not that long ago. Sara Gilbert said, “It’s so sad to see her struggling. … You worry she’s not getting the help she needs. … I’m scared for her.” Sharon Osbourne made a plea for Dr. Phil to “go and help” Locklear. We’re not sure Dr. Phil is the right person, but Locklear certainly needs someone to help her.
