Heather Dubrow on ‘Lovely’ Alexis Bellino’s RHOC Return

Heather Dubrow is excited about Alexis Bellino’s return for Season 18 of Real Housewives of Orange County.

“I’ve been campaigning for Alexis to come back for a few years now,” Heather said. “So I was thrilled that she was coming back. But as you know, truth is stranger than fiction, and who could have predicted the John Janssen of it all? So, it’s interesting, I mean, it’s quite a season.”

Of course, Heather is referring to the drama surrounding Alexis’ current relationship with Shannon Beador’s ex, John Janssen. Sparks will surely fly during Season 18.

Alexis is back!

When asked about any possible probable animosity between Shannon and Alexis, Heather told People, “No, Alexis is a really lovely girl. She wouldn’t hurt a fly intentionally.”

The mom of three first appeared on RHOC in Season 5 and left following Season 8. She won’t actually be getting an orange for Season 18, but will join the cast as a “Friend of the Housewives.” But there’s always the chance for advancement.

“Alexis is feeling energized and excited to be back in the mix,” said an unnamed source when filming began. “She has authentic relationships with many of the girls, so it feels completely natural to be spending time with friends.”

That remains to be seen, as the atmosphere is likely to be tense. Shannon has been crystal clear about her ex dating her former cast member. She’s said she’s “hurt” and still trying “to process” them as a couple, especially after John previously said he was tired of being in the public eye.

“How many Orange County housewives have there been?” she asked. “Is that your dating pool?”

John and Shannon dated for nearly four years before he “blindsided” her with a breakup in late 2022. They just couldn’t get past their constant “bickering.” Initially, she was heartbroken and said she couldn’t stop crying.

The two eventually became friends, but their relationship was again strained by Shannon’s September arrest for an alleged DUI hit-and-run.

Filming for RHOC picked up in January 2024. Heather, Shannon, and Alexis will join returning castmates Tamra Judge, Emily Simpson, Gina Kirschenheiter, and Jennifer Pedranti for another season.
