PREVIOUSLY: Fox’s Grease: Live! special airs on Jan. 31 and ahead of that date, the production has shared a behind the scenes video of Jessie J singing the musical’s opening theme song, “Grease.”

‘Grease: Live!’ Adds Original Stars Didi Conn & Barry Pearl to Cast

In the first glimpse shared exclusively with Billboard, in anticipation of the big night Jessie J says, “There’s no pressure like being the first one on stage. I love that rush of the nerves I’m going to get, I just feel very honored and very lucky that I’ve been asked to experience something like this.”

As for how much artistic liberty she’s going to take with the fan favorite, Jessie J says she’s planning on keeping it as close to the original melody as possible.

“But I’ve definitely kind of thrown in what I kind of like to do, which is a lot of this and a lot of this,” she says, moving her fingers in the air. “Just put a little bit of me in it.”
