In this weekly data series powered by Parrot Analytics we look at the top breakout shows of the past week. Breakout shows are the most in-demand series that have premiered in the past 100 days.

After Netflix’s “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” beat it down last week, HBO’s “House of the Dragon” fought its way back up and reclaimed its position at the top of the chart this week.

The change in rankings was a result of demand for “Monster” falling by 27% while demand for “House of the Dragon” increased by another 5%, according to Parrot Analytics‘ data, which takes into account consumer research, streaming, downloads and social media, among other engagement. This has led to “HOTD” dominating the rankings with 55.9 times more demand than the average series this week.

Amazon Prime Video’s “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” saw a 27% increase in demand this week, the result of its penultimate and final episodes debuting on Oct. 7 and Oct. 14, respectively. It’s likely that we might just see another increase next week as more data comes in and fans catch up with the finale. It remains to be seen if that boost will be enough to push it up to the top position though, given that “House of the Dragon” still has two more episodes to go.

Disney+’s “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law” moved down to fourth place in the charts this week. Nevertheless, the series ended on a high note, with 38 times the average series demand — a 17% increase from last week.

Disney+’s other new series, “Andor,” was next on the chart with a minor 2% increase in demand this week. While the show seems to be floating under the radar for most audiences at the moment, it could see a boost over the next few weeks as it still has two more episodes yet to be released.

AMC’s “Interview With the Vampire” moved up to seventh place in the charts with a 36% increase in demand this week. Given the recent slate of big IPs on screen, the series has been performing quite well since its release and had 24.6 times the demand for the average show in the U.S. for the week.

FX’s “Welcome to Wrexham” has also managed to hold its own in the rankings for yet another week, seeing a further 9% in demand.

The series which saw the most dramatic increase in demand this week was “Chainsaw Man,” which premiered on Oct. 12. The latest anime series from TV Tokyo entered the rankings in ninth place with 21.2 times the average series demand, a 113% increase. The show has 12 episodes set to air weekly, so it’s likely that it might just be a regular on the chart over the next few weeks if it manages to retain audience attention in the meantime.
